This is a diver’s canvas underwater tool bag, canvas and brass. The holes allow for water to escape when hauling up tools.
Diving gear or artifact collection bag
To smisita: Last weeks Whatsit? was a napkin holder with chick.
I love these responses! Especially “Hookman’s” guess: “A poke the kitty” bag!! Ha! Most sound plausible; like a crabbing bag or diver’s bag, but don’t know about that chicken feeding bag! Will be interesting to see who is correct!
A diver’s underwater tool bag. The holes allow for water to eascape.
My first thought was a modern-day hanging strawberry plant holder… but obviously not! So my guess is a bag for clamming, or divers, as the holes drain the seawater out.
Well, at first I thought “feed bag”, but then realized the strap isn’t long enough. Knitting bag? But it’s not very big to hold several balls of yarn to move freely when knitting. You know what? I’m just not sure.
I think this is a multi color yarn bag.
How do I find out what last weeks turned out to be?
It’s a feed bag for chickens and other poultry. You fill it with the chicken meal, and as you walk around, you shake it and the meal falls out of the holes. As you can see, it has holes almost all the way to the bottom, so when nearly empty you simply turn it over and dump the last of the food out.
Actually, it’s a cat toy for playing “Poke the Kitty”. Put the cat in the bag and poke her through the holes, but watch out !! You might get Cat Scratch Fever !
You know what, I just realized this is one of those “designer” purses by Peter Cartin or Rafe Lorin or is it Eve Sans Lorint? Anyway, it’s got the perfect size and style, whether you’re delivering eggs to the neighbors or making that quick trip to the feed store, this purse will last for years. It’s made from the finest canvas with the very best brass grommets. So nice.
It’s a beach bag for towel and suit.
I believe this is a canvas bag used to bail out a boat. Water is scooped up from the bottom of the boat in the bag, then the bag is slung over the side of the boat to drain out.
A feed bag for a horse.
I believe this could be a feed bag for a horse.
I believe it is a bag that holds several balls of yarn. Back in the day, afghans were knitted in a multitude of colors. It would be an easy way to have a mixture of colors at hand when knitting.
Looks like an apple picking bag.
Could it be to keep ships ropes or cords in?
It looks like a feed bag for horses, but probably isn’t.
Potato sack or for growing potatoes or strawberries?
clam pickers bag for divers
Canvas Bait Bag Livewell
Laundry bag for smelly socks.
diver’s tool bag
A horses feed bag
I’m thinking it might be a seed bag, designed to dispense seeds for planting.
it sure would be a good way to keep onions; but is that what it was designed for???
produce storage bag
fisherman’s catch bag
A feed bag?
