Kovels’ Antiques & Collectibles Price Guide 2018 is now available in bookstores and online at Kovels.com. To celebrate Kovels’ 50th price guide, Terry Kovel created a timeline to chronicle the most important events, auctions, social changes and fads that have affected the antiques and collectibles market. The result — a special 26-page 50th Anniversary bonus section in the center of Kovels’ 2018 price guide—Terry Kovel’s “Reflections on 50 Years of Collecting: Prices, Trends, Events, and Surprises.” And it's available only in Kovels' 2018 price guide.

Fifty years of analyzing the market and talking to experts, dealers, and fellow-buyers have given Terry a unique view of the good, the bad, the quirky, and the fun aspects of collecting. Starting in 1953 with the publication of Dictionary of Marks – Pottery and Porcelain, the timeline recalls “how it all got started” and skips through the major events in the history of the Kovel brand. It intersperses their books, TV shows and appearances with auction stories, the growth of flea market shopping, and the rise and fall of different collectibles. And it’s all sprinkled with Terry’s personal anecdotes, comments, and pictures.

Antiques collectors have turned to the Kovels for their peerless annual price guide since the first edition appeared in 1968 (it’s on the timeline!). With over 50 years experience as America’s antiques and collectibles experts, the Kovels understand what the average American collector wants to know and buy. And with all-new prices, photos, marks and tips, the 50th edition of Kovels’ Antiques & Collectibles Price Guide is still full of must-know information for everyone from the curious novice to the discerning dealer.

Kovels’ Antiques & Collectibles Price Guide 2018 is available now at bookstores and Kovels.com.

Hi,
I have been a fan of the Kovels since the 1970s, and remember when the Terry and her husband had cable show and had their basement fixed up like a general Store . Well, it’s been a long time since I had a subscription , and I just subscribed. Feels good. Thanks.
Martin
