Q: I bought this picture at my local Goodwill because of the smile on the woman’s face. She looks like she knows a secret. At the bottom of the picture it says “Pearl of Nelson,” “Distillers of Whiskies,” Can you give me any information about it?

A: The Pearl of Nelson Distillery was a brand name used by Herrmann Brothers of Louisville, Kentucky. The company was founded by brothers Michael Herrmann and F.J. Herrmann in 1884 and was in business until 1919.
