Dormeyer Electric Mixer

Q: Our church received this stand mixer for a yard sale. Does it have any value?

A: The A.F. Dormeyer Co. of Chicago made electric mixers and food grinders. Dormeyer electric mixers were first made in 1927. The company also made electric coffeemakers and toasters. Dormeyer began making power tools in the late 1940s. House brands were made for some department stores. The company was bought by Webcor in 1960, which continued to made Dormeyer kitchen appliances for a few years. This mixer is model 3300A, probably made in the 1930s. It sells as an antique for $30 to $40.
