Pantone Color of the Year 2022

This is the 23rd year a Pantone color has been chosen to be used in fabrics, paint, wallpaper, ceramics and other materials. Collectors know that the favored color helps to date collectibles. Last year’s color was Ultimate Gray. In 2020 it was Classic Blue. In 2019 it was Living Coral. Manufacturers, artists and decorators are able to match the color. In 2018, the color was Ultra Violet, a close but different color than the new 2022 shade, Very Peri. The shade is red-violet with blue highlights. Lavender was a favored color in the 1880s-1890s and many vases and figurines made then were decorated with a violet color.
