Black is Back

Black is back as a popular decorating color for walls, carpets, kitchen appliances and even dishes. So are large murals, grass cloth, patterned wallpaper and rugs. Patterns are similar to those popular in the late 1950s. Too bad I replaced my 1960s grass cloth wallpaper. I remodeled my kitchen 20 years ago in Biedermeier style with a black granite counter and black or stainless appliances. The other appliances have stopped working and were replaced with stainless steel a few years ago when black was not available. But black is once again, a “new” color for kitchens.
