Attempted Theft of Magna Carta

A man attempted to steal a Magna Carta from the Salisbury Cathedral in England. He was witnessed attempting to smash the glass box that held the document for display, and he was arrested on suspicion of attempted theft, posession of a weapon and criminal damage. No one was hurt, and no damage was done to the Magna Carta, which is one of the four surviving originals.
