Record Price for a Spice Box

An 18th-century Polish silver spice container sold for a record $337,900 at Kestenbaum & Co.'s Judaica auction on Dec. 6, 2012. The rare 15-inch parcel-gilt container is shaped like a clock tower and covered with filigree, 3-D flags, and figures of knights.
