We recently mentioned the more than 20 antiques-related reality shows that are on television or coming soon. Here is the list (all times Eastern; check your local listings to confirm airtimes). Some of the shows may be on hiatus or canceled. Most popular, according to the ratings: “Antiques Roadshow” and “Pawn Stars.”
Like the poster above, I really miss your show, Flea Market Finds With the Kovels. I especially miss the “Whatsit” part of the show where you showed items and asked the audience to guess what it was. I liked your show a lot better than anything on TV now. Any chance of doing another TV show, Terry and Ralph??
You can add Green Channel’s “Accidental Fortune” which is a miniseries of people who come across valuable items in accidental ways
Hi Terry, I contacted My Collection Obsession as you suggested in your newsletter but when I looked at the online video clips for the show it seemed they were portraying collectors as having psychological problems. A psychologist comments and seemed to be viewing collecting as compulsive shopaholic related behavior. I for one feel that collecting enriches my life and can contribute to man’s knowledge – I would not recommend their show.
Terry, I remember when you and Ralph had a show on TV a few years ago. I was so sad when you were no longer on. I liked it so much more than some of the shows available today.
Thanks so much for the listing of the TV reality shows for collectors. I bookmarked them!
We also have our own picker show called “Canadian Pickers”. It is on our history channel Tuesdays at 11am & 11pm. You can also watch episodes at history.ca
