When you go on vacation, lower the volume of your telephone ringer so it can’t be heard by would-be thieves who may wonder if you are home.

If you accidentally drop a vintage watch in water, take it to a professional jeweler immediately. If you can’t do that, take the back off the watch and dry it with a hair dryer set on low.

Did you know that the Declaration of Independence is stored at a constant temperature in an inert helium atmosphere? Too bad we can’t all afford to protect our paper valuables with helium.
