Turn off your plasma TV set at the screen, not just with a remote. The set has a fan and will continue to use energy if turned off with the remote. If you live in an area with electrical disturbances, consider installing a surge protector on the set or at the fuse box or breaker panel to protect all of the electrical items in your house in case of a power surge or lightning strike.

Dishes that can be used in a microwave or conventional oven can be used in a convection oven, too.
