Don’t worry about electric cords that don’t match your décor. Don’t hide them under rug. Don’t staple a cord to a wall or floor. Don’t wrap the cord with tape of any kind. And don’t paint the cord. Any of these actions can turn the cord into a fire hazard. There are cord covers and surge protectors available.
