When hanging clothes, especially vintage fashions, do not hang the clothes so they touch. Lack of air makes it easier for mold to grow and moths to lay eggs. It also may wrinkle the fabrics. Museum collections are kept flat and unfolded in special large boxes or on cloth-covered padded hangers in muslin bags.
