Storing Metal Collectibles

If you live near a body of water or in a rainy climate, store your metal collectibles (like coins or iron banks,) dye or other granular products that are made to dissolve—in closed bags, boxes, or on shelves with doors. And keep some silica gel with them to further help control moisture. Use the little packets of silica gel beads that come in the bottle with many medicines and other water soluble products. You can also buy silica gel at a hardware store or Walmart.
