Keep Valuables Off Social Media

Don’t put pictures of your new engagement ring or other valuable jewelry on social media, and disable any location settings that could add to the danger of theft. If you have a valuable collection, don’t picture that either. Even large items can be taken. We know a couple who got tickets to a baseball game as a “prize,” went to the game, and came back to find their collection of art pottery had been packed and taken away in a moving van while the neighbors watched and thought the collection had been sold.
