To remove old unwanted decals or sticky price tags from your collectibles, soak a small rag in vinegar and cover the sticker with the wet rag for a few minutes. It should remove the decal or sticker. Do not use this method on wood or paper.

…is WD-40. It shares key ingredients with Goo-Gone but in my experience is less expensive, as well as having numerous other useful applications. Just spray some into a paper towel or soft cloth, rub over the offending adhesive patch, and it will wipe away pretty quickly without a big fight.

I have very good luck removing labels and their glue with Goo Gone. Also, a tip on removing greasy grime from old kitchen items – baking soda. Fill a plastic basin with fairly hot water, and shake in some baking soda, soak items then rinse. However, I learned the hard way that using it on painted metalware, old metal trays, canisters, recipe boxes takes the paint off. But it’s very good on china, plastic and unpainted metal.

Try a hair dryer over the tag. Start with one corner and tease the tag off as you continue to apply heat. Hold the tag with a tweezers since it gets hot. Works great.
