This desk was used for years by Wallace Nutting (1861-1941), the photographer and savvy businessman whose hand-tinted prints of Colonial-style room views and landscapes sold in the millions from about 1904 into the 1930s. The desk auctioned this summer for $11,163 at Skinner.
