The letter began, “You always say that everything is collectible.”  It continued, “So here is a quirky collection you may not have seen.” The Moist Towelette Museum at Michigan State University in East Lansing has what may be the largest collection of moist towelettes in the world. Examples from the Hard Rock Café in Kuala Lumpur, a Shell gas station in Turkey, the U.S. Embassy in Sweden, and covers with names and pictures like Finger Pinkies Secretary's Hand Cleaner, or Star Trek.

John French has over 1,000 towlettes in his university museum. The oldest is a Wash Up Towelette, dated 1963. Most have been mailed to him by friends, collectors, or because of publicity like our mention.
