Hi, does anyone know what this is? It has a patent date of March 10, 1914. And has a C and M on the front.

Hi, they are not bolts. One is a screw. I’m not sure what the other would be called but they do not look like they are designed to attach to something else. I’ll include a close up picture. Please feel free to post to any other forums.

Do you mind if I cross post this to another forum ?? I have not found anything on the patent date or the foundry !!

Hi, I got it at an estate sale in kittanning pa. A small town on the Allegheny river about 30 miles north of pittsburgh. It’s 3 1/8 th inches wide and 2 inches high. It is not curved. I’ve added a picture from the side.

You didn`t post additional info !! Where did you get this item, your geographical area !! Size ect !! My first thought was a part of a wood stove !! Some of the pot bellied Parlor stoves had a viewing door similar to this !! Is it slightly curved ??
