Hi!

I have some old silver plated items that I hope to have identified.

The one I want to start with is a silver plated teapot with a fancy “McGuire” name on the side.

The bottom of teapot has a “6” and a “1889”.

Could ‘1889’ be the date it was made? What does ‘6’ mean?

Has anyone heard of McGuire silver products?

Could anyone tell me a good website to find out more about antiques like this?

…any help will be much appreciated! Thank you! 🙂
