Can anyone please help me identify this. I think its brass. It has a greenish patina on it that is thick. on the bottom its hand etched “India 1471J”

These were pretty common at one time and were exported to the US !! Called a ewer,, I would not use it for anything to drink !! Mostly just decorative objects !!
