Hello Everyone,

I am reaching out for help to better understand the mark and maker of this set of 6 bread & butter plates I own. I’m pretty sure they were made by the P. Donath Silesian Porcelain Factory in Tiefenfurth, Silesia, around 1910-1916. However, the mark shown in Kovel’s New Dictionary of Marks shows the name “DONATH” printed underneath the griffon, whereas my plates all say, “PRUSSIA”. Does this make a difference in when the plates where made and is the maker the same? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Were you ever able to get concrete answers to your questions regarding this mark? I also have a set of dishes that have the same red mark with PRUSSIA below the griffon but without a signature or DONATH.
