I have a set of books of Charles Dickens (12 of) and one book by Alexander Dumas. These books are leather bound with gold gilded edged paper. All are manufactured in England with ten of these books published by London & Glasgow – Collin’s Clear Type Press. 3 others are published by Thomas Nelson and Sons, Ltd. London, Edinburgh, and New York. Hard Times and Christmas Book by Charles Dickens has typed Thomas Nelson and Sons, Ltd. London, Edinburgh, and New York 1908. Many of these books has handwritten in a corner 1871 and looks like a signature (SB)with 59 handwritten below. I believe these books belonged to my Grandmother who was from England. They are pocket book size… measuring 6″ or so high and 4-1/2″ wide. I cannot find anything on these books and was wondering if anyone could fill me in on them and possibly their value. Each book has sketches and the pages are ultra thin and fine. Thank you.
