signed shibayama-style japanese koro incense burner. Can anyone shed any light on this mark, age etc. Thanks
The inlay lies above what looks like an ivory panel. Some inlay is missing on all panels. and it appears to be gold lacquer over brass/bronze.
Where is damage ?? I didn`t see any in this pic other than the tarnish !! Are the panels damaged ?? Looks like brass,, Are the panels raised and inlaid or just enameled ??
It is damaged and is incredibly dirty but thought best to leave it as is.
What does the rest of it look like ??
