Tobacco Jar

Tobacco jar collectors search for those made in odd shapes and colors. Because tobacco needs special conditions of humidity and air, it has been stored in special containers since the eighteenth century. Tobacco was sold in cloth or paper bags until about 1880, when tobacco tins were made.
