Wemyss ware was made by Robert Heron in Kirkaldy, Scotland, from 1850 to 1929. It is a colorful peasant-type pottery that is occasionally found in the United States. Wemyss ware was originally made by Fife Pottery in Scotland. It was discontinued in 1957, but reappeared in 1985 made by Griselda Hill Pottery.
