Ruskin
Ruskin

Ruskin is a British art pottery of the twentieth century. The Ruskin Pottery was started by William Howson Taylor and his name was used as the mark until about 1899. The factory, at West Smethwick, Birmingham, England, stopped making new pieces in 1933 but continued to glaze and sell the remaining wares until 1935. The art pottery is noted for its exceptional glazes. William Taylor was influenced heavily by Chinese ceramics from the Sung and Ming dynasties, especially the glazes.
