Hedi Schoop

Hedi Schoop emigrated from Germany in 1933 and started Hedi Schoop Art Creations, North Hollywood, California, in 1940. Schoop made ceramic figurines, lamps, planters, and tablewares. Schoop's slipcast ceramic figurines were popular before she started her company and she also made figural planters and vases. The business burned down in 1958. Some of the molds were sold and Schoop began designing for other companies. She died in 1995.
