Gillinder

Gillinder pressed glass was first made by William T. Gillinder of Philadelphia in 1863. The company had a working factory on the grounds at the Centennial and made small, marked pieces of glass for sale as souvenirs. Gillinder made a frosted glass that is popular with collectors today. He used acid etching to make glassware designs. They made a variety of decorative glass pieces and tablewares. The company was out of business by the early 1930s.
