Cleveland, Ohio – June 25, 2015 – The antiques experts at Kovels.com have compiled a list of summer flea markets that are well worth a trip, near or far. With sunny weather and vacation time to enjoy, summer is a prime opportunity for flea market perusing and purchasing. Each of the five markets is renowned for its variety of items, negotiable prices and popularity among both vendors and shoppers across the U.S. Kovels’ Top 5 list is below, with details on each flea market.

1. Renniger’s Antique and Collector’s Extravaganza — June 25 – 27

Located in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, Renniger’s hosts a flea market extravaganza three times a year — in April, June and September. The extravaganza is set up behind Renniger’s Antique & Farmer’s Market, with exhibitors outside, under tents and in two 350-foot long pavilions. Admission for all three days is $15, and the event goes on in all weather conditions, so prepare accordingly.

2. Brimfield Flea Markets — July 14 – 19

Make your way to central Massachusetts to visit the market that attracts over 50,000 people three times a year in May, July, and September. This six-day Brimfield Flea Market is over fifty years old. Twenty independent show fields make up the market, and they operate on a staggered opening and closing schedule. This large market has become an exciting tradition that attracts visitors from many states and countries.

3. Midland Antique Festival — July 18 – 19

The Midland Antique Festival, in operation for over 45 years, is held in July and September. A thousand dealers from across the U.S. come to Michigan to spread out over 80 acres of land including eight barns full of indoor stands, in addition to sprawling outdoor vendors. The event features a coin and sports memorabilia building, a car auction and sales lot, local Michigan food and live music.

4. 127 Corridor Sale — August 6 – 9

Called “the world’s longest yard sale,” this 690-mile flea market starts five miles north of Addison, Michigan, and ends at Gadsen, Alabama. The sale features the eclectic collections of individuals, families and groups, and each vendor decides their own hours during the days of the sale. The event attracts buyers and sellers from across the U.S. to wander, meet new people and buy unique goods.

5. Long Beach Antique’s Special Sale — August 30

Long Beach Antiques is having a special sale at the end of August with over 650 sellers from all around the U.S. Featuring collectibles, home decor, jewelry, furniture, vintage clothing and more, the event is an exciting addition to their monthly markets. The sale is located at the Veterans Stadium in Long Beach, California. Come rain or shine.
