For many years, American Indians have sold souvenirs made by “non-native” companies. Some collectors search for these inexpensive pieces. Saltshakers, small figurines, baskets, dolls, jewelry, clothing and other items are still being made. Best-known and most valuable are Skookum dolls, made from the 1920s to 1960s. Most other tourist pieces sell for very low prices and, while decorative, will probably not go up in value.
