Brass Ashtray with Risqué Image
Q: We came across a risqué brass ashtray while cleaning out my deceased uncle’s possessions. It’s embossed with a tall, attractive woman and a shorter, pudgy man, both in formal attire. She has a surprised expression on her face, and it says OH! The reverse side shows he has his hand up her skirt and is pinching her rear. There is no maker’s mark. The ashtray is about 5 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches and has many rough edges. Can you tell us anything about it? Is this collectible?
