A 26-inch-tall blue and white vase was used as a doorstop for 36 years by descendants of Great Aunt Flo in England. They decided to sell it at the English version of a garage sale but first decided to have it appraised. The auction house appraiser put it in an auction where the 300-year-old vase sold for $849,000. The Chinese mark showed it was made for an imperial palace in the 18th century.
