Danish furniture from the 1950s is popular with young collectors today. A 1952 dining table by Danish artist Peder Moos (1906-1991) broke the world auction record for a piece of Nordic design. It sold for $922,759 at a Phillips auction in London in October 2015. Moos designed a tea cart and a coffee table that were manufactured by Fritz Hansen, but he made all of the rest of his furniture himself.

Hi, I have a Danish cabinet that holds LP records that was given to me by my father. He purchased it in the late 50’s early 60’s. How can I go about finding out what its worth. Its still in excellent condition.
Are there any signatures or markings by the maker on this piece?
What are the dimensions?

I have always loved the simplicity and easy curving lines of Danish furniture. Minimalist is a term used for everything from home decor to men’s accessories as if it is a new idea for the future. The Danes have seen the beauty of minimalism for over half a century.
