The Pittsburgh Public School System has found a valuable painting given to the district in 1933 by The Friends of Art, a group that supplies art for schoolrooms. The painting, titled “Interior,” had been missing for years. It was painted by Henri Le Sidaner (1862-1939), a French Impressionist artist, and has an estimated value of $400,000 to $600,000. The school district is considering selling the painting to raise money for its art education program. Administrators say the painting, of a doorway bathed in soft light, is too valuable to be hung in a school building and that the district’s collection focuses on Pittsburgh artists.

Jasper Cropsey was born Feb.18,1823 and died June 22, 1900. He was a member of the Hudson River Valley Artist. He is a very imporant artist and has been copied and faked quite a bit. If you think this a real one it needs to be looked at by a expert at one of Museums that house his work.
I have a picture of the old red barn with his on it and the size is 28 by 40.
