Foodies and advertising collectors might want to start stocking up on their Kraft Mac & Cheese boxes. After 85 years of offering the easy-to-make lunch (and dinner), the manufacturer, Kraft Heinz Co., announced in June 2022 that they are shortening the Kraft Macaroni and Cheese name to match what it is commonly called. The company is also giving the iconic blue box a makeover. The new box updates the name, logo, brand colors, typography, photography, iconography and packaging. Specifically, the box has a new shade of blue and emphasizes the “noodle smile.”
The changes are important for collectors; they make it possible to date packaging, toys and artwork. Kraft joins a line of recent image changes. Other brands who have adjusted logos include M&Ms; Quaker smoothing out its logo’s double chin, rolls and plumpness; and Uncle Ben’s and Aunt Jemima with updated logos.
