Thinking of collecting Cleveland Indians baseball team memorabilia including the newly-retired Chief Wahoo? He has been the team’s logo since 1947. This ceramic bank depicts an older version of Chief Wahoo, one from about 1948, when Indians’ players included Bob Feller, Larry Doby, Satchel Paige and Bob Lemon. The 8-inch bank was made by the Stanford Art Pottery Company, in Sebring, Ohio, from 1945 until 1961. The caricature image of Chief Wahoo has a single gold tooth and a coin slot in his red feather. The bank sold recently online for $265. Chief Wahoo will become a collectible to look for. Read more about him here.
