“Hi. I was wondering if you heard about the people who stole the wood planks off a barn in Indiana that had a Mail Pouch advertisement painted on the side? I’d sure like to see these jerks get arrested.” Doug Z. sent this email and a copy of the news story by ABC57 News in South Bend, Indiana. The Marshall County deputies are investigating the theft of a barn wall painted with the famous “Chew Mail Pouch Tobacco” ad. Someone (we think it took more than one person) removed the painted wood planks right off the barn. If you can help with information about the sign or the thieves, call the sheriff at 574-936-3187. We called, and the sign is still missing.

Seems to me the “before” picture could be taken at anytime before the theft. You wouldn’t take a photo every day on the off chance someone steals Granny’s old sideboard. The above argument is specious and not relevent to the point of the post: what happened to the side of the barn?
Barn on bottom is not the same barn as the top one.
The top barn was made when they used whole tree logs for the framing, you can tell that by the log runners on bottom of barn. The bottom barn has no logs for frame work. I agree not the same barn.
the photograph showing the barn with the graphics could be up to 10 years earlier. I am sure the owner did not take the photo the day before the theft…trees grow, plants and groundcover wither, die, regrow, get re-planted…etc. Of course these were taken not at the same time!
this doesnt look like the same barn, I agree with Hookman
Yes, it’s the same building. The pictures were taken a few years apart. Is that a problem? smh
Those pix must have been made some time apart, it doesn’t look like exactly the same barn or foliage around it.
Compare the roof.
Compare the ground directly in front of it. It seems to be different ground cover.
Compare the trees.
