Q: I’d like to know the age and value of a child's three-piece tea set. It’s marked “Plant Tuscan China” above a crown with two wings and “Made in England.” Can you give us any other information?

A: The R.H. & S. L. Plant is one of the Staffordshire potteries. The company’s Tuscan Works was located in Longton, England, from about 1898 to 1966, when it was bought by Wedgwood and renamed “Royal Tuscan.” The pottery is no longer being made. This mark was used from about 1936 to about 1947.
