Q: I’d like to know the age and value of the three-piece child’s tea set. It’s marked “Plant Tuscan China” above a crown over two wings and “Made in England.” Can you give us any other information?

A: The R.H. & S. L. Plant is one of the Staffordshire potteries. The company’s Tuscan Works was located in Longton, England, from about 1898 to 1966, when it was bought by Wedgwood and renamed “Royal Tuscan.” It is no longer being made. This mark was used from about 1936 to about 1947.
