Q: I’ve had this parrot pitcher since 1945. It’s marked “St. Clement, Made in France.” I hope you can tell me something about it.

A: Jacques Chambrette established a pottery in Saint-Clement, France, in 1758. Tin-glazed pottery (majolica) was made beginning in 1772. The pottery was bought by Keller and Guerin in 1892. In 1979 it became part of the Sarreguemines group. Pottery is still being made at Saint-Clement, and early pieces, including the bird pitchers, are being reproduced. The words “Made in France” indicate it was made in the 1900s. Value: $50-$100.

I have a similar pitcher. However, the markings on the bottom read as follows:
the letter K with the letter G or C centered over it a – (dash)the letter S with a C inter-twind. Centered below the letters is a slanted capital L followed by the numbers 68 and on the third line is FRANCE. Could you tell me when mine may have been made and the value? Thank you
