Q: I’ve searched repeatedly to identify this small bowl. It’s only about 2 1/2 to 3 inches across the largest point and about 1 1/2 tall. It’s marked “Hall” in a circle and “Made in U.S.A., 357.”Can you help with a date and/or value?

A: This bowl was made by Hall China Company East Liverpool, Ohio. The company was started by Robert Hall in 1903. It merged with Homer Laughlin China Company in 2010. The decoration on your bowl is one of Hall’s Christmas Tree and Holly decals. There are two variations of the Holly decals. This mark was used from about 1930 to 1970. Value of your bowl, about $5 to $10.
