Q: This service for six with a large soup tureen belonged to my mother. I'm 82 years old, so I think the set is over 100 years old. This mark is on the bottom of the dishes. Can you tell me who made this set and how much it is worth?

A: Your set is not yet 100 years old. The mark was used by Bohemia Ceramic Works, a company founded in 1921 in what is now Nova Role, Czech Republic. It made household and hotel porcelain. Much of the output was exported to the United States and other countries. Variations of this mark were used from about 1921 until 1945. The factory was nationalized after World War II and became part of Karlovarsky Porcelain in 1958. It is difficult to sell a set of dinnerware. An antiques or consignment shop may take it. A set with six five-piece place settings would sell for about $100-$150. The tureen and other serving bowls could each sell for $25 or more.
