Pottery & Porcelain Marks – Humans & Body Parts: Humans and various mythic creatures including fairies, nymphs, and fauns appear as ceramic marks. Some began appearing in the 19th century, but most were first used in the 20th century. Hands and arms, clutching or not clutching swords and arrows, were used in the 19th century. Company names also frequently appeared with the human or creature in the mark.
