Practical 18th-century stoneware crocks are now valuable pieces of folk art. Kovels on Antiques and Collectibles continues to celebrate its 40th year of publication with a sale report featuring American stoneware crocks sold at auction in Maryland and their prices “then and now.” And furniture makers, architects and potters weren’t the only artists interested in the ideas of the Arts and Crafts movement.
