Q: I went through the list of crown marks on your website and didn’t see this one. Do you have any idea what company used this mark?

A: The mark was used by T.C. Wild & Sons Ltd., a pottery in Longton, Staffordshire, England. Thomas C. Wild bought an existing pottery, the Albert Works, in Longton in 1895. The pottery was granted a Royal Warrant and began using the trade name “Royal Albert Crown China” in 1905. Crown China became a separate company after 1935. Royal Albert is now a brand owned by the Fiskars Group. Crown China is no longer mentioned.
