Q: I need information on a vintage “Little Mo” Indian cookie jar. It’s in pristine condition. I’m very interested in selling it, but I have no idea how to do so. The only information I have about it is that it’s a rare cookie jar made by the American Bisque Co. for the Mohawk carpet company. What is it worth?

A: Cookie jars in figural shapes or with colorful designs became very popular after Andy Warhol’s collection was auctioned for high prices in 1987. Prices have gone down since then and most are very low. American Bisque Co. was a major producer of cookie jars from 1919 to 1982. It made this cookie jar as a promotion for the Mohawk carpet company in the 1950s. Reproductions were made by Gale Gerd about 1990. This jar was produced in a limited edition of 200. The American Bisque Co. cookie jar sells for over $350. Reproductions are worth $75 to $100.
