Fenton Glass has totally discontinued operations and its name, logo, molds, formulas, buildings, and other assets were put up for auction to pre-approved bidders. Randy Fenton, a major shareholder and president of the Fenton Gift Shop, bought all the assets with a bid of $200,000. U.S. Glass is interested in using the trained workmen and the factory to make a refreshed version of Fenton glass to sell in retail stores.

The Fenton Gift Shop is still doing a big business as the company continues to clean out the warehouse. Several decorators are still at work using blanks made before the shutdown. There are so many pieces dated 2012 in the shop that if you didn't know better you would think they are still in operation. One difference is that prices on new pieces in the shop have gone up.
