Who wants to buy a 10-foot-tall stainless steel statue of an orange "Balloon Dog" by famous artist Jeff Koons (b.1955)? The orange statue, one of a series of five, was made in 1994-2000. Christie's auction in New York City on Nov. 12 will answer the question. Estimated price: $35 million to $55 million. Guess the rest of us will have to settle for a small twisted orange rubber balloon made into a dog shape—the inspiration for the statue.

idiotic that anyone would pay that kind of money for this. I have to assume that a city will buy it and pass the cost on to the tax payers whether they like it or not
