Elaborate chandeliers are returning to favor among decorators. Both old and reproduction fixtures with multiple arms, prisms, and scroll work are going up in price at auctions and shows. If you buy an old fixture, be sure the wiring doesn’t need repairs. Hang it so the bottom is about 30 to 35 inches above the top of the table.

Glass prisms or prisms with lead in them?
Where can I buy extra prisms for my chandelier?

I have a big box full of glass prisms that once hung from an antique chandelier.
Are they valuable?

What about brass and alabaster chandlers?
