20th Century Factory Glass by Lesley Jackson (Rizzoli, New York, c2000, $85) is a book that has been sorely needed. The factories included manufactured cameo glass, high-style Italian glass, and even kitchenware like Pyrex bowls. Many of the factories have unfamiliar names: British Heat-Resisting Glass Company, John Walsh Walsh, and Železnobrodské Sklo. This book is a guide to many as yet unknown but artistic pieces of factory-made glass-the important glass collectibles of the future. Excellent information, many color photos, an index, glossary, bibliography, and list of factory marks. A very important reference book for a glass collector.
